The Umatilla County Critical Groundwater Task Force is pleased to
announce that the Draft Umatilla Sub-Basin 2050 Water
Management Plan is now available for review and comment.
A significant part of the mission of the Task Force is to
ensure that the
public is included in all aspects of the planning process. The Ta
sk Force has received
considerable public input over four years of
meetings and now wishes to ask the general public and all parties
interested in the critical groundwater situation
and other water issues in Umatilla County to review the draft plan.
After this review, the Task Force will develop a final plan and submit
it to the Umatilla County Board of Commissioners. The Commissioners
will then hold a public process to decide whether or not to adopt the
plan for Umatilla County.
We encourage all comments on the plan draft. Please scroll down for
links to the 2050 Plan and various appendices, and to complete a
questionnaire regarding the proposed Management Alternatives identified
in the draft plan. You may contact J.R. Cook, Assistant Planning
Director, at 541.278.6251.
Thank you for assisting in our
planning process.
